Two-time major champion and LIV Golf stalwart Dustin Johnson is now top of the earnings list of the Saudi-backed series following his win at the Boston Invitational.

When he slammed home a 40-foot eagle putt to beat Joaquin Niemann and Anirban Lahiri in a playoff at The International, $4 million was pumped into his bank account.

Another $750,000 was added when 4 Aces were confirmed as the winners of the team event for the third time in a row. Pat Perez, Talor Gooch and Patrick Reed also received their share of the four-way split of $3 million.

With his first win on the LIV Golf Tour, Johnson became the highest earner since its inception at the start of June. He has won $9,962,500 and overtaken Branden Grace who was the highest earner after the Bedminster Invitational.

Johnson, 38, leapfrogged Charl Schwartzel too. The South African won the inaugural event of the LIV Golf Series at Centurion Golf Club near London.

Since the first legal battle between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf culminated in Gooch, Hudson Swafford and Matt Jones being denied places in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, there has been confusion over tournament earnings and up-front contractual fees.

LIV had previously denied that tournaments earnings were recouped against up-front fees, but this is indeed the case as was revealed in the hearing back in August.

At each LIV event, the prize purse is $25 million which is divided into individual and team formats. The top individual prize is $4 million and the lowest possible total you can walk away with is $120,000.

Total earnings after the LIV Golf Boston Invitational:

10. Pat Perez - $2,794, 667

9. Louis Oosthuizen - $3,376,667

8. Hennie Du Plessis - $3,530,000
