LIV Golf's Phil Mickelson has admitted that he's been "a bit chippy" on Twitter ahead of the LIV Golf Tulsa event in Oklahoma this week.

The six-time major champion has been one of the most active professional golfers on Twitter during LIV Golf's off week.

During the short break, Mickelson made jabs at both USGA CEO Mike Whan and PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan.

In one tweet from last Wednesday, Mickelson said Whan was working with the Tour to keep LIV Golf players out of the USGA's major.

He wrote:

"Mike Whan recently changed the wording from “qualified”for the Tour championship to “eligible.” Thereby taking away Gooch’s exemption since he wasn’t eligible to play even though he had qualified. This doesn’t make the US open better in any way but does help collude with the Tour"

And one week later, ahead of the LIV Golf Tulsa event, Mickelson returned to Twitter, using his past week on the site as a lead-in to teach a chipping technique.

He tweeted:

"I’ve been a bit “chippy” on Twitter lately. In honor of that, here’s a chipping tip to help you get out of some tough lies."

Mickelson proceeded to share a clip explaining the technique:

On Friday, Mickelson is set to tee off at the second hole of Cedar Ridge Country Club for LIV Golf's shotgun start.
