
As most golf fans are aware, Dustin Johnson is one of the best players on the planet.
The world rankings suggest he has had a dramatic loss of form but that topic, we would posit, is more than yawn-worthy at this point.
Still, it was surprising to see this shot from Johnson, who is leading his 4 Aces at this week's LIV Golf event in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I mean, we absolutely are not accustomed to writing the words: Dustin Johnson hits a brutal shank.
But here we are. The moment came in the opening round and the 38-year-old, who is married to Paulina Gretzky, was playing No. 6 at Cedar Ridge Country Club.

Johnson managed to limit the damage after the hosel rocket and scribbled down a bogey four at the par-3.
He went on a blistering run from No. 13, carding five birdies in a row. By the end, he carded a 7-under 63 opening round which was only two strokes back of the early leader Branden Grace.
