After announcing an indefinite leave to recover from a back injury, LPGA Tour star Jessica Korda has reportedly withdrawn from next month's US Women's Open at Pebble Beach.

Korda, 30, has six career victories on the LPGA Tour and 50 top 10s since joining in 2011.

Her most recent win was just two years ago at the Tournament of Champions in 2021.

However, last month, the American announced via Instagram that she would be taking an indefinite amount of time off to recover from a nagging back injury.

"The last year has been an extremely challenging time for me as I struggle with an injury in my back," Korda wrote. "Following the advice of my doctor and the guidance of my physio, we've committed countless hours of treatment at home and on the road for me to try and get my body healthy and ready to compete each week.

"Unfortunately, we've reached point where the pain is not improving, forcing me to have to withdraw out of several tournaments. As a competitor, it is upsetting to have to do this time and time again. At the advice of my medical team, I have made the tough decision to stop playing until I can get my back full healthy. At this point, we don't have a firm timeline for my return but I'm working with the best and am focused on coming back as soon as possible."

Korda also left the 2022 LPGA Tour season early to heal a back injury, announcing her season was over in November 2022 with a few tournaments left on the schedule.

Now, according to Golfweek's Beth Ann Nichols, the USGA has reported that Korda was one of three fully-exempt players who've withdrawn from next month's US Women's Open.

The other two were World No. 66 Mone Inami and No. 84 Hee Jeong Lim.

The tournament is set to begin 6 July and will go until 9 July and is the second part of back-to-back major championships, with one week off in between.

It's also being hosted at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links in California this year for the first time in the history of the event, after playing host many times for the men's US Open.

This week on the LPGA Tour schedule is the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, which began Thursday at Baltusrol in New Jersey.

Korda was absent from that field, as well.
