adidas Golf is introducing a new line of clothing, the 'Claret Jug Collection' Crested with the oldest and greatest prize in golf.

Emblazoned with the coveted prize for the winner of The Open Championship since 1872, adidas says the range will appeal to those who appreciate the game’s rich history and tradition.

Commented Patricia Dahan, director of global apparel for adidas: "The Claret Jug is a very special collection - and a natural extension to the authenticity of golf. In working with The R&A, we have created a collection of clothing that invokes emotion, romance, and a connection to the heritage of the game."

The Claret Jug Collection will be available from June with a recommended retail price from £50 for polo shirts and £75 for knitwear and outerwear.
