The distinctive striped shoes of adidas Golf are already the preferred footwear of top professionals like Retief Goosen, Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter. Now the company plans to introduce its lightest shoe ever for amateur golfers around the world.
The adidas SSE series claims to feature ‘ultralite comfort and construction in durable shoes’ that are stylish with bags of grip.
The makers say: ‘Tri-density EVA has been used throughout the shoe’s construction to reduce overall shoe weight by 20 per-cent making it probably ‘the lightest on the market.’
adidas is so confident in its claim that it’s asking golfers to test the shoe and weigh it against rivals which claim to be both light and waterproof.
The SSE, comes in three styles - the SSE 75 and the SSE Saddle (for men) and the SSE Stripe (for women) with a recommended retail price of £59.99 and a one-year waterproof warranty.
