Hot on the heels of its best tournament win for some time – Simon Khan’s victory in the Wales Open - Mizuno has opened its National Custom Fitting Centre in Cumbernauld, Scotland.

Now club golfers can be fitted with their favourite heads and shafts just as Khan has been in the Mizuno workshop, which travels around the European Tour.

And furthermore there’s a chance to win the latest Mizuno MP-001 driver or one of the latest highly rated fairway metals, if you’re not already a Golfmagic member.

The Fitting Centre features the Vector Launch System and Mizuno Flex Analyser and uses an impressive inventory consisting of over 300 MP drivers and fairway metals, irons, wedges and Fli-Hi rescue clubs.

Graeme Gorrie, Mizuno’s custom-fit specialist, creates made to measure clubs that are perfectly suited to the physiques, ability and swing characteristics of hundreds of club golfers.

"The National Fitting Centre represents Mizuno’s commitment to offering a level of custom fitting service that we believe is unsurpassed in the industry," says Graeme. "It’s our aim to ensure that any visiting golfer will discover what Mizuno equipment will best suit their game."

Says Mizuno’s Rob Jackson: "Tour players like Simon have access to the same tools we use in Cumbernauld including the strike board, lie tape, Vector Launch System and Flex Analyser, though the pros tend to be more ‘tweakers’ of equipment. They alter lofts and lies to suit playing conditions as the workshop is always with them.

"At the fitting centre, where we offer ‘one-off’ appointments, it’s more important to get it right
first time."

Fitting sessions at Cumbernauld are free of charge as long as the fitting is booked (and subsequently bought) through a Mizuno stockist.

Footnote: Simon Khan uses Mizuno MP-37 irons and a Tourstyle wedge. His clubs have a lie of two degrees
upright and are half an inch longer than standard in the True Temper Dynamic Gold S400 shafts. The grips are Tour Velvet with three extra tapes. He also has a bag and headwear contract.
