Rather than be stuffed away in your golf bag and saved for a rainy day, modern waterproof jackets should be savoured, looked after and used as a versatile top for both on and off the course.

And the latest in the
Ping Collection’s autumn/winter range – the Kingston jacket - is the perfect example. And as you’d expect carries a price tag to match.

However, for a recommended cost of £90 you get Ping’s latest Function 3 technology, softshell lightweight material and a choice of three colours - citrus/steel grey, black/cayenne, turquoise/black and black/steel grey The full-zip jacket comes in sizes from small to XXL.

Other clothing is the Function3 range include the Tour F3D rain suit, Cuba fleece, Phoenix Teflon-coated sweater and several performance polo shirts.

Rutland Clothing Company, based in Leicester, aims to spruce up the golf market by re-designing and re-launching the Stylo Golf footwear and Net64 clothing brands.

Mark Wilkinson, Rutland Clothing Co. in 1994 and says: "Over the past decade we have developed a good reputation for supplying own label knitwear to leading high street retailers. Now we intend to inject some long overdue dynamism to the clothing and footwear ranges. It's all very exciting."
