Brora: course review
Golfmagic reviews this beautiful links track on the coast of the Scottish Highlands
Brora, described by Peter Thomson as the finest tradional links course in the world, is a long to go for a gma of golf for most, but those that have played there will only have good things to say about it.
The members and staff are welcoming and amiable, and the James Braid-designed course is certainly one of his best creations anywhere in Scotland.
This is links golf at its fundamental best: the course is not too long (6,211 yards), but when the wind gets up it can make even low handicappers look like fools. Get ready to play a lot of low shots under the wind taking advantage of the firm fairways, and you can get the putter out from anywhere within 50 yards.
