Declan O’Neill, a 48-year-old ten handicapper from Dublin, will soon be the proud owner of a new King Cobra SZ 440 driver, courtesy of Cobra and Golfmagic.

He won the star prize in our competition earlier this year, which attracted a bumper entry.

Coincidentally two visitors from Horsham in Surrey – Matthew Hamer and Paul Sear - were chosen at random to win runner-up prizes of King Cobra stand bags. The other bag-winner is Francis Foley from Halesowen in the West Midlands.

Said Declan, a member at Old Conna Golf Club in County Wicklow: "What a great surprise, I'm delighted. Last year, my handicap dropped from 14 to 8.9, but it drifted back to 9.5 My target is now to regain and maintain a single figure handicap by the year-end."

A tax partner in the Dublin office of Ernst and Young, Declan has chosen the SZ440 model, as opposed to the SZ400 or offset with stiff flex and the 10.5 loft.

Matthew, incidentally, a 38-year-old Telecoms programme manager, has returned to golf after a four year break and as a 15-handicapper, says his new bag will compliment his King Cobra SS370 driver.
