The European Tour has certainly upped its game on Twitter in recent years, providing fun and engaging content for all golf fans. One video series that we all love watching, is the 14 club challenge. Two golfers go head to head on a par 3, where if they hit the green they receive a point, but once a player uses a club, both players lose it.
We've already seen some excellent 14 club challenges this season, with Jon Rahm setting the record of five points, but the latest match between England's Eddie Pepperell and New Zealand's Ryan Fox, was one not to be missed.
Eddie Pepperell is not only a very talented golfer, but he's also the best Tweeter on Tour. If he's not making fun of himself for a bad performance, he's using his witty humour against a fellow Tour professional (even the likes of Dustin Johnson).
Pepperell's fun character and charm was easy to see again during the latest European Tour 14 club challenge as he bounced off of Ryan Fox, a good friend of Pepperell.
Both players are currently playing in the Irish Open at Lahinch Golf Club, where Russell Knox is defending his title. Ryan Fox finished second in the tournament last year, with Pepperell finishing in a disappointing T77.
After round one, it's Pepperell who has made the better start, finishing five-under-par just one shot off the lead in T2, and Knox with a poor first round of three over, leaving him in T126.
Now you may remember back at the 2018 BMW PGA Championship, Belgian star Thomas Pieters impressively snapped a club around his neck. You might be thinking what on earth has that got to do with this article, well you'll find out once you watch the battle between Pepperell and Fox.
So, who was the winner in the epic 14 club challenge between the two friends? Watch the video below and see for yourself:
