Tom Kim is taking the golf world by storm and at just 20 years old, we have a lot more excitement on the way. He is now a two-time PGA Tour winner and a fan favourite in his short but promising career.

Kim was neck and neck with the ever-consistent Patrick Cantlay on 24-under-par on the 18th hole on Sunday at the Shriners Children's Open, bringing on echoes of last month's Presidents Cup.

Unfortunately, Cantlay imploded. He pulled his tee shot and then attempted to hit his ball through two bushes. This led to the American taking an unplayable and then finding the water with his fourth shot.

It led to a triple bogey which included a 35-foot putt for the seven. Kim calmly made a pair to secure a dramatic three-shot win to follow up on his victory at the Wyndham Championship at the end of last season.

The South Korean is now the first player to win twice on the PGA Tour before the age of 21 in 26 years. The most recent player before that was, of course, Tiger Woods. Kim is also the youngest two-time winner on Tour since 1932.

Woods was 20 years, nine months and 21 days old when he completed victories at the 1996 Shriners Children's Open and the 1996 Walt Disney World Golf Classic.

At 20 years, three months and 18 days old, he is also the youngest player outside of the US to win twice on Tour since 1900. He has broken all sorts of records.

To add to this, Kim didn't make a bogey all week in Nevada. He is just the third player since 1974 to win a stroke play event on Tour without a bogey on his scorecard.

He endeared himself to the golf world after his pulsating performance for the International team at the Presidents Cup and he has gone from strength to strength in his individual career too.

"It's really amazing. A few months ago, I didn't have any status in the U.S., and now being a two-time winner on Tour, having that place with Tiger, it's an unbelievable feeling for me. It's an honour for me, and it's definitely a dream come true," Kim said.

"It's been crazy. It's been really fast. Definitely doesn't feel slow, that's for sure.

"Coming off a win, Playoffs, the Presidents Cup, and a win this week is - I mean, it's absolutely amazing. I've just got to keep going, and I'm enjoying the ride, so hopefully, many more to come."
