Alex Noren earned $46,830 at the CJ Cup on the PGA Tour last week when Rory McIlroy returned to the top of the world rankings.

His T-37th finish saw him reach the milestone of earning $10m in career winnings on the PGA Tour

Through his previous 136 starts on the PGA Tour, the now 40-year-old Swede had earned $9,982,706.

Despite the milestone, Noren has become the 13th player to have reached this amount of earnings without ever winning on the PGA Tour.

The other players on that list, per Golf Digest, are:

  • Ben An
  • Harold Varner II
  • Brett Quigley
  • Graham DeLaet
  • Brendon de Jonge
  • Jeff Overton
  • Briny Baird
  • Brian Davis
  • Tommy Fleetwood
  • Cameron Tringale

Both Tringale and Varner are now LIV Golf players.

Tringale - in particular - has had his name removed from the PGA Tour's money list after he was suspended for joining the breakaway tour.

He was the player who thanked Tiger Woods when he joined LIV.

Of course, it should be pointed out that Noren is absolutely no stranger to winning. He's won 10 times on the European Tour/DP World Tour.

Those victories have earned him €16,727,499.50 in 247 starts. His last victory came in 2018 when he won the French Open.

That was before he played in Thomas Bjorn's Ryder Cup Europe side that dismantled the U.S. at Le Golf National.

The closest Noren has come to winning on the PGA Tour came at the 2018 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines where he lost in a three-way playoff with Jason Day and Ryan Palmer.

Noren is currently ranked No. 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking. He was previously as high as No. 8.
