Many of the best players in the world skipped the John Deere Classic last week to prepare for the JP McManus Pro-Am, which was won by Xander Schauffele, and this week's Genesis Scottish Open. Matt from GolfMagic picked out another great each-way selection with Cam Davis (40/1) at TPC Deere Run, following on from his 125/1 selection with Nick Hardy at the Travelers Championship. The Genesis Scottish Open will be blessed with a world-class field this year in North Berwick. Nine of the world's top 10 players are playing to put in their last preparations for The Open Championship.

Although the DP World Tour issued fines and suspensions for this event to LIV Golf rebels, Ian Poulter, Adrian Otaegui, Branden Grace and Justin Harding have had their appeals upheld and they will compete.

Min Woo Lee beat Matt Fitzpatrick and Thomas Detry in a playoff last year to secure his second DP World Tour victory. He will tee it up with Xander Schauffele and Robert MacIntyre in rounds one and two in East Lothian.

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler will play with Jon Rahm and Viktor Hovland, while US Open champion Fitzpatrick will play with Open champion Collin Morikawa and Will Zalatoris.

Take a look below at our betting selections for the 2022 Genesis Scottish Open.

Xander Schauffele - 18/1 (BET365)

In the last 10 days, Xander Schauffele has won the Travelers Championship and finished top of the 36-hole leaderboard at the JP McManus Pro-Am. He is ranked fourth in strokes gained and fifth in birdie average on the PGA Tour this season. He is ranked second in sand save percentage and he is also in the top ten of strokes gained from tee to green and approaching the green. Schauffele is an all-rounder and he is the player to jump on right now.

Sam Burns - 30/1 (BET365)

Sam Burns has won three times this season and for that, he is ranked second in the FedEx Cup standings, only worse than World No.1 Scottie Scheffler. He is seventh in both scoring average and birdie average on the PGA Tour and he is ranked eighth in strokes gained in total. He has made eight top-10s in 19 events and it is no secret that he has been one of the standout players of 2022.

Will Zalatoris - 25/1 (BET365)

Will Zalatoris has lost in playoffs to Justin Thomas and Luke List this season, as well as coming second at the US Open. He is by far the best player in the world not to win on the PGA Tour and it is only a matter of time until he gets over the line. He has made eight top-10s in 18 events and he has particularly excelled in major tournaments, which have fields comparable to the one in Scotland this week.

Billy Horschel - 60/1 (BET365) (each-way)

Billy Horschel became a seven-time winner on the PGA Tour at the Memorial Tournament earlier this season. He also has a love for the DP World Tour's flagship events, such as the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. The 35-year-old came second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational which was one of five top-10s in 2022. 60/1 is a huge price for the experienced American.
