Our score:
PRICE: £99.99 YEAR: from 2019

Nike Golf has steadily merged some of its most iconic sneakers into the golf market, and one of the coolest additions to the roster is the Nike Air Max 1 G golf shoe.

With fashion becoming a more integral part of the game and many golf clubs beginning to relax their dress codes, golfers have more opportunity to express themselves on the course than ever before.

We've already seen Nike Golf bring the Roshe G and Flyknit Racer to golf, as well as the classic Jordan brand, but the one that's impressed us the most in terms of all-round peformance, style, function and fit is the Air Max 1 G.

We wouldn't go as far as ranking them as some of the best golf shoes available, but they walk the walk and talk the talk too.

Nike Air Max 1 G golf shoe - Key features

The shoe is almost an identical replica of the trainer we all know and love, but also includes golf specific technologies to make it stand the test on the course.

As with the trainer, we see the iconic Air bubble, something which hasn’t been seen on a golf shoe ever before. You have also got a cushioning heel unite that combines with Phylon foam at the midsole to provide extreme comfort.

The spikeless sole is soft yet tough meaning you can wear it on any terrain in any condition. If that is not enough for you, the AM1 is fully waterproof and Nike Golf provides you with a year warranty.

Nike Air Max 1 G golf shoe - Looks

There are four colourways with the Air Max 1 G in Black/Gum, White/Gum, White/University Red and a pure platinum style, so all tastes should be taken care of there.

You may have already seen some of the custom styles that were released earlier in the year including the Green Grass and Sunday payout editions, but we will let you make your own mind up on those as they are not for everyone!

Should you buy the Nike Air Max 1 G golf shoe?

The Nike Air Max 1 G is a tempting choice for all the sneakerheads out there and perfect for wearing straight from the course to the 19th hole, or even out and about round town - you won’t look out of place anywhere you go in these.

We have put the shoe through its paces with vigourous on-course and range testing, and we have to say that these really perform as you would expect - and at £99, they give you more bang for your buck than most other Nike Golf shoes we've tested.

You receive extreme comfort and great stability on full swings, which is something Nike haven’t always provided in their trainer golf shoes – for us, that's what was lacking with the Roshe G.

As of 2019, the most impressive Nike Golf spikeless shoes, and with all the classic Air Max 1 style.
