Building upon the success of last year’s TW13, Nike Golf has unveiled an enhanced and modified look to the new Nike TW14, as worn by the World No.1 himself.

Tiger Woods debuted the new Nike shoe in dramatic fashion at The Players Championship earlier this month, when he won his 78th PGA Tour title, and then made it 79 with victory at the WGC-Bridgestone last week.

The original Nike TW13 was created through insights from Woods himself, who stated: “I train with Nike Free technology all the time… I love training in it, running in it, lifting in it. So I asked, why can’t I play golf in it?”

With that, Nike designers set to work creating a Nike Free-inspired golf shoe tailored to maximise Woods’ game.

Through his inspiration, hands-on testing and detailed feedback, Nike Golf has continued the collaboration with Woods on the new Nike TW14, further enhancing the fit, feel and function.

A new upper features improved ventilation that delivers increased breathability and comfort thanks to strategically located perforations and a more comfortable mesh tongue.

Nike Dynamic Fit with Flywire technology also cradles the foot for a tight fit and the ventilated upper provides good breathability and comfort throughout.

I'm somewhat disappointed by these shoes from Nike. While I appreciate this shoe is designed to promote a more natural movement during the swing, and I like the red and black colour choice, it appears a little too clumpy and heavy, almost like a boot - it's the heaviest shoe in this showcase. At the top end for price, too.
