Golf fans have been left stunned after learning Harry Hall has had "no conversations" with Luke Donald about making his European Ryder Cup team.

The revelation from Hall came after the in-form Englishman carded a solid second-round 67 to move into the top 10 on 5-under par heading into the weekend at the BMW Championship.

Hall, as it stands, would be on the bubble of the top 30 to make it into next week's Tour Championship at East Lake.

According to stats guru Jamie Kennedy, the World No.65 is statistically the fifth best European golfer on the PGA Tour the past three months.

Hall ranks first on the PGA Tour when it comes to strokes-gained putting, total birdies and birdie average, and he also has the most rounds in the 60s on the circuit (57) this season.

He's also second in scoring average and par-4 scoring, as well as third in the bounce back category.

But despite all of that, along with 11 straight top-35 finishes on the PGA Tour the past three months, Hall admits he has had no recent conversations with European Ryder Cup captain Donald or any other members of the team.

"No conversations recently, no, just trying to play golf," said Hall when pressed by a reporter as to whether he had spoken to Donald or his vice-captains ahead of the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage in New York from 26-28 September.

When further pressed as to whether the Ryder Cup was on his mind, however, Hall nodded.

"Yeah, it has been the last couple weeks. Just got one job to do, and that's go recover now and get ready for tomorrow."

Hall was then asked whether he had been through a fitting for a European Ryder Cup team uniform, to which he shook his head.

"No, I haven't."

Hall was then asked what it would mean to him to make his debut appearance on the European Ryder Cup team should it happen.

"Yeah, it would be massive.

"I remember growing up, and Phil Rowe, my assistant coach in college, and he was like my idol growing up, he played in the Walker Cup in '99. We have his bag in the clubhouse.

"People always used to say, H, are you going to put a Walker Cup bag up there one day, and I always said, a Ryder Cup one."

As it stands, Hall lies 19th in the European Ryder Cup team standings.

But inside the top 10 heading into the weekend at the BMW Championship, Hall knows he can not only lock up a first appearance at the Tour Championship next week but also give himself a golden chance to finally catch the attention of Donald.

Donald will make his six captain's picks on the 2025 European Ryder Cup team on Monday 1 September.

GolfMagic recently made its predictions for both Ryder Cup teams.
