Taylormade Ghost Tour Black Indy Putter Review
The TaylorMade Ghost Tour Black Indy putter offers terrific value for money.
Putters aren't the strongest department at TaylorMade HQ right now, but if the TaylorMade Ghost Tour Black Indy is anything to go by, the brand is on its way. For the first time in a while, a TaylorMade blade putter finally offers some appeal - and then some.

The Indy features a rich, dark glare-resistant coating and a contrasting white line on the trailing edge - something we found offered a confidence-inspiring alignment aid when placing the putter head behind the ball.
In addition to the new matte black finish, the Ghost Tour Black series welcomes a deep-milled 6061 aluminium insert. Last time around with TaylorMade's Ghost Series putters, the insert was 80% Surlyn and 20% aluminium.
This toe-hang blade (meaning it is better suited to someone with a more pronounced arcing stroke) delivered a remarkably crisp, clean feel off the face time and time again, on top of a smooth, accurate roll.
The feel generated by the new aluminium insert represents a dramatic improvement for a TaylorMade putter. While a little quiet off the face, it did not feel too soft or too firm.
Distance control was great on those long 30-foot putts, while we could not stop holing putts from inside of 10 feet.
Should you buy the TaylorMade Ghost Tour Black Indy putter?
Out of all the blade putters we tested, we felt the most comfortable and confident with this one.
The dark coating worked a treat out in the sun, while the simple white sightline on the trailing edge formed a confidence-inspiring alignment aid.
It feels particularly quiet off the face but still delivers great feedback on off-centre hits. It offers terrific value for money at £139.
