Review: FootJoy Chill Out pullover

Pride of place in my golfing wardrobe is this aptly-named 'Chill-out pullover' from FootJoy, which definitely puts the V in versatile.

I was so grateful for it this week playing in bright but cold and blustery conditions at De Vere Wychwood Park. The conditions didn't warrant a cumbersome waterproof jacket but the pullover kept me cosy, wrapped in a windproof combination of polyester and stretchable spandex.

With its distinctive white half zip it can be pulled up to the chin like a roll-neck while the body-hugging top and sleeves keep the swing free and flexible.

Machine washable, the fabric is eays to take care of and is great for moisture management, moving perspiration away from your skin to the surface of the garment allowing it to disperse to keep me dry, cool and comfortable.

Available in an  athletic fit in navy and black, it compliments those of us with a fuller figure but no doubt FootJoy have other colours in mind for the future.

Verdict

Priced at around £60 it's a garment any golfer might confidently drop a hint about with Christmas approaching, as it's ideal not only for the golf course but as acceptable leisurewear, too.
