Tommy Fleetwood has confirmed he will return to the FedEx Open de France later this year, adding further star quality to one of the DP World Tour's most historic events.

The world number seven is set to tee it up at Le Golf National from 24-27 September, joining a strong field that already includes Ryder Cup teammate Viktor Hovland.

Fleetwood's return marks a reunion with a venue that has played a significant role throughout his career.

The Englishman captured the 2017 Open de France title at Le Golf National, securing both his fourth DP World Tour title and maiden Rolex Series triumph.

A year later, he made his Ryder Cup debut on the same course as Europe thrashed the United States in memorable fashion.

The 35-year-old also enjoyed success at the Paris venue during the 2024 Olympic Games, claiming the silver medal in the men's individual competition.

Fleetwood heads back to France this September following a standout 2025 campaign.

He secured his long-awaited first PGA Tour victory at the Tour Championship to win the season-long FedEx Cup, claimed his eighth DP World Tour title and helped Europe regain the Ryder Cup for a third time.

The popular Englishman has not competed in the Open de France since 2018 but is eager to return to a tournament that holds special memories.

"I have some incredibly special memories playing in France, and Le Golf National is a course I hold really close to my heart," said Fleetwood.

"The FedEx Open de France is one of the world's oldest national opens, and it's always a privilege to tee it up in an event with such history.

"I look forward to getting back in front of the French fans and hopefully making it another week to remember."

Fleetwood will also be in DP World Tour action the week before France as he returns to Wentworth to compete in the flagship BMW PGA Championship on home soil.

The Open de France, first staged in 1906, is the oldest national open in continental Europe and has been part of the DP World Tour schedule since 1972.

This year's edition returns to Le Golf National following renovation work completed in 2025, with Fleetwood aiming to add another chapter to his impressive record at the iconic venue.
