Jon Rahm will take a one-shot lead into the weekend at LIV Golf Adelaide.
The two-time major champion shot a flawless nine-under par 63 at The Grange on Friday.
He carded seven birdies and even sank a 50-foot eagle putt at the seventh hole.
Rahm leads New Zealand's Ben Campbell by one, with Bryson DeChambeau a further stroke adrift.
Former PGA Tour star Anthony Kim - who joined Dustin Johnson's 4Aces this week - continued his recent good form with his second 67 of the week and is on 10-under.
England's Tyrrell Hatton climbed the leaderboard with a three-under 69 and is among a group of five players in a share for 11th.
The shot of the day came from Rahm's compatriot, David Puig, who made a rare albatross at the 10th hole from 214 yards.
"We have 72 holes, we're only 36 in," Rahm said. "So there's a lot of golf to come.
"I've done a lot of good. Putted well both days, especially today, so everything went in today for the most part, and if not it was very close.
"Hopefully I can keep making smart choices and hopefully not give myself reasons to have to get lucky.
"But when it gets windy on this golf course, it's tricky. It's narrow. It's tough. You're going to have a little bit of... you're going to need a little bit of luck to win anytime, but so far, I'm feeling good, and hopefully I can keep doing it."

This week represents Rahm's second appearance in a professional golf event since helping Europe lift the Ryder Cup last September.
"It's the first time I've had an off-season like that, so I was able to do certain things that I haven't done in the past," Rahm said when asked if he believes his winter training has paid off.
"But I think so. I think so. I'm playing really well, feeling confident. I think there's been a few wayward shots this week that were not expected because of how well I feel like I'm swinging."
LIV Golf Adelaide is the second event of the 2026 season.
Australia's Elvis Smylie won the curtain-raiser in Riyadh last week on his debut with a one-shot victory over Rahm.
It was the first LIV tournament played where their players received Official World Golf Ranking points.
Smylie jumped into the top 100 with his victory and, with further high finishers in the comings weeks, could secure a tee time at The Masters.
