Key figure of LIV Golf's production team quits on eve of 2026 season
LIV Golf broadcast exec James Watson has announced he is leaving the league on the eve of the 2026 season.

A key figure of LIV Golf's production team since its inauguration has announced they are leaving the league.
James Watson was hired to oversee all of LIV's productions efforts in 2022.
Key achievements during his time at the PIF-backed breakaway included introducing drone tracing technology to broadcasts.
The technology is now prominent in coverage across the sport, including the PGA Tour, on CBS and NBC.
He was also instrumental in introducing other features like the "LIV Line" as well as the "Any Shot Any Time".
The LIV Line is a visual line on the putting green that represents the optimal path or break whilst the latter feature allows viewers to cut to any player, on any hole at any given time on the app.
Watson did not reveal his next role, saying only in a statement on LinkedIn that he's "excited to take a breath and reset".
SportsBusinessJournal's Josh Carpenter has reported that veteran producer Mark Loomis has been in talks to work on LIV telecasts alongside EverWonder Studio.

LIV Golf ink deal with TNT sports
The news comes days after LIV Golf announced a major, multi-year broadcast deal.
From 2026, all 14 events from the LIV Golf season will be shown live across TNT Sports and discovery+ in the UK and Ireland.
The league’s expanded calendar will stretch across 10 countries and five continents, including a historic first-ever LIV Golf event in South Africa, plus returning fan favourites in Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, Spain, the USA and the UK.
TNT Sports has confirmed it will deliver on-site presentation and wall-to-wall coverage throughout the season, with further broadcast details set to follow in the coming weeks.
It should be noted this new deal with TNT Sports does not in any way impact LIV Golf’s US TV deal with FOX Sports.
