LIV Golf commentator quits one week before 2024 season opener
Troy Mullins has announced she will be stepping down from her role as an on-course reporter on the LIV Golf League one week before the 2024 campaign begins.
LIV Golf's on-course commentator and feature reporter Troy Mullins has announced she is leaving the role after two years.
Mullins was hired by the breakaway tour in 2022 to call the action from inside the ropes along with Dom Boulet and Su-Ann Heng.
Arlo White, David Feherty and Jerry Foltz make up the rest of LIV's team in the broadcast booth.
Mullins confirmed she will be leaving the position on 27 January with a post on Instagram.
"After a lot of thought I've decided to leave LIV Golf after two years," she wrote.
"I've loved every minute of the fun and interesting work I've done and the experiences I've had."
Mullins, 36, added: "To all the players, coaches, teams, celebrity guests, video production crew, catering, editors and wonderful volunteers... thank you."
Mullins previously had aspirations to play professionally on the LPGA Tour but her career is said to have been curtailed by a serious hamstring injury.
She then turned her attention to long drive and in 2012 qualified for the World Championship for the very first time. She placed second overall.
Mullins claims to hold the record for the farthest drive hit by an American woman at 402 yards.
It is not known what her next role will be. LIV Golf begin their third campaign next week in Mayakoba.
