LIV Golf has announced a new broadcast agreement as the league continues to expand its global reach, with the update coming just hours after confirmation that its inaugural Louisiana event has been postponed.

Against that backdrop, LIV Golf has confirmed a new partnership with Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), which will deliver live coverage of the 2026 LIV Golf season across India and a wider South Asian and Central Asian audience.

The agreement will see coverage broadcast via Sony Sports Network’s linear television channels as well as its OTT platform, Sony LIV, significantly increasing the league’s accessibility across the region.

The deal complements SPNI’s existing agreement to air The International Series — a set of elevated events co-sanctioned by LIV Golf and the Asian Tour — creating a more complete pathway for audiences to follow emerging talent through to the league’s top tier and into the major championships.

LIV Golf’s 2026 schedule spans 14 events across 10 countries and five continents, with a growing presence in Asia forming a key part of its international strategy.

Events in Hong Kong and Singapore have already taken place this season, with LIV Golf Korea set to follow from 28-31 May. Coverage began earlier in the year and will run through to the season-ending Team Championship in Michigan in late August.

The agreement will give audiences access to a roster of high-profile players including Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Joaquín Niemann, Dustin Johnson, Sergio García and Tyrrell Hatton, alongside emerging talents competing across the league’s team-based format.

India’s Anirban Lahiri, who represents Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC, said: “This partnership with Sony Pictures Networks India is a big moment for golf in India and personally, it means a lot.

“To have a broadcaster of this scale bring LIV Golf into homes across the region gives fans a real connection to what we’re building week in and week out.

“The energy, the team aspect, and the pace of play is something I think Indian sports fans will genuinely enjoy and resonate with.

“For me, it’s also about visibility, giving young players in India a chance to see this level of competition up close and believe they can be part of it one day.”

Örjan Olsson, SVP of International Media Rights at LIV Golf, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures Networks India to bring LIV Golf to fans across India, South Asia, and Central Asia.

“Sony is one of India’s largest and most trusted sports broadcasters. Securing both linear television exposure and established premium OTT distribution materially improves our reach, brand visibility, and long-term positioning in a crucial market.

“Through Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV, viewers across the region will have unparalleled access to elite global stars, compelling team rivalries, and the global energy that defines the LIV Golf League.”
