AIG Women's Open prize money 2025: How much they're playing for at Royal Porthcawl
AIG Women's Open prize money 2025: Check out how much they are playing for at the final women's major of the year at Royal Porthcawl in Wales.
The very best from the LPGA and Ladies European Tour head to Wales for the final women's major of the year.
The AIG Women's Open gets underway on Thursday at Royal Porthcawl.
England's Lottie Woad is among the tournament favourites, fresh off her first victory in the paid professional ranks last week in Scotland.
Thailand's Jeeno Thitikul, American World No.1 Nelly Korda and Australia's Minjee Lee are also expected to challenge for the title.
Charley Hull will attempt to win her first major on the 60th attempt, whilst former champion Georgia Hall will also help spearhead the British charge.
Lydia Ko will defend the trophy she won 12 months ago at the Old Course.
As ever, there will also be a huge amount of prize money up for grabs.
The prize purse has increased significantly over the last few years since AIG took over as the title sponsor.
Three years ago, South Africa's Ashleigh Buhai became the first player to earn a cheque for more than $1m at the Women's Open with her stunning victory at Muirfield.
Back then, the overall purse was $7.3m and, 12 months ago, stood at $9.5m.
The aforementioned Ko won $1,425,000 for her efforts at the home of golf .
Tournament officials are yet to reveal what competitors are playing for this week, but it would not be surprising to see another increase of $500,000.
There is also a chance the purse will remain unchanged, given the R&A announced before The Open at Royal Portrush that the winner would walk away with the same cheque at Royal Troon.
GolfMagic will publish the information on this page as soon as we know.
In the meantime, take a look a the final payouts from 2024.
