LIV Golf leaderboard at The Open: Scores from Royal Portrush

The Open Championship at Royal Portrush features 19 LIV Golf players. 

Perhaps the breakaway tour's best hopes of winning the Claret Jug are in the hands of Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton. 

DeChambeau won the US Open for the second time in 2024 at Pinehurst No.2 and has been a standout performer in golf's big four since decamping to the PIF-backed league. 

Although DeChambeau missed the cut at Oakmont last month at the third men's major of the year, he produced two top five finishes at The Masters and PGA Championship. 

The 31-year-old American has admitted, though, that he does struggle playing links golf given he grew up in California. 

Rahm is getting the majority of attention this week and has one of the strongest records at The Open among players who've never hoisted the Claret Jug. 

The Spaniard finished third in 2021, second in 2023 and shared seventh place 12 months ago. He finished T11 the last time The Open was played at Royal Portrush six years ago. 

Hatton has been inching closer to his first major title. The Englishman, who has three DP World Tour at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, recorded his best ever major championship finish at the 2025 US Open where he fished in a share of fourth. 

Joaquin Niemann will also believe that he can mount a challenge. The Chilean is currently leading LIV's individual standings. 

Major champions Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia and Cameron Smith will also be of the view they could be in the mix come Sunday evening.
