Rory McIlroy's former agent has made some eyebrow-raising remarks about the state of the PGA Tour, taking aim at several of its biggest stars.

Rory McIlroy's former agent Andrew 'Chubby' Chandler is far from convinced the PGA Tour is stacked with talent.

Chandler and McIlroy's relationship ended in 2011. However, the larger-than-life character is still the managing director of ISM, which manages several high-profile players, including Darren Clarke and Matt Wallace

Despite his affiliation with the professional game, Chandler has given the PGA Tour a scathing review.

Chandler has already voiced his concern over the state of McIlroy's game, claiming the four-time major champion has lost the spark in his eyes.

However, it wasn't just his former client who was under the microscope; Chandler also took shots at some of the PGA Tour's biggest names, including Scottie Scheffler, Rickie Fowler, and Jordan Spieth

Chandler said:

"The game mustn't be too correct, otherwise nobody wants to watch it. Scottie Scheffler is fantastic, but how much of Scottie Scheffler will you want to watch? You are not going to turn him on like you used to do with Tiger.
"There will never be another Tiger, ever.
"The one thing about Tiger, he could give it the odd 'F---' as well, which made him watchable, seeing him get fired up.
"Jordan Spieth is a lovely lad, but he's Jordan Spieth. Rickie Fowler, great lad, but very squeaky isn't he? I don't know what the sport does because who is coming along who is going to make it any different?
"We're not talking about Xander Schauffele are we? You wonder where the game is going, because it's easier to talk about the LIV guys than it is to talk about the PGA Tour guys."

While Chandler's primary focus in his rant was the PGA Tour, he also delivered a damning critique of the state of LIV's roster of players.

He added: "The PGA is devoid of superstars and it's a huge problem and to a certain degree so is LIV.

"When they make such a big deal about Anthony Kim, that's searching for people to hang the hat on."

Despite LIV's apparent lack of star quality, Chandler did praise Jon Rahm, particularly his X-rated language on the course.

"Rahm was great, and I love the way he can now stand in the middle of the green and say 'F---', and nobody even mentions it. [Tyrrell] Hatton putted out with his sand iron, so he obviously twanged his putter somewhere.

"At the end of the day the PGA Tour, the European Tour, everybody tries to stop that, but in actual fact men behaving badly is actually quite watchable."

Clearly frustrated with the state of men's professional golf, Chandler went on to pick holes in the OWGR system, claiming it's favouring American players.

"All those LIV players have been replaced by people, Jimmy no-names. The PGA Tour has still got all these guys in the world rankings, but they've got rid of Cam Smith, Louis Oosthuizen and the non-Americans so for them it has been stronger.

"How can you have that? You can't have world rankings that favour the Americans, which is what it has done the last few years."
