Sahith Reddy Theegala is a professional golfer from the United States.
He was born on 20 September 1997 in Chino Hills, California.
Theegala played college golf at Pepperdine University, where he was one of the top players in the country.
He won several individual titles during his college career, including the 2020 Haskins Award.
That award is presented annually to the best college golfer in the U.S.
After completing his college career, Theegala turned professional in 2020.
He has played on various professional tours, including the Korn Ferry Tour and the PGA Tour.
In 2021, he earned his first professional victory by winning the Colorado Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Theegala is considered one of the rising stars in professional golf, and many believe he has the potential to become a major champion in the future.
He was featured in the Netflix documentary Full Swing, which followed his life behind the scenes during a chaotic year in professional golf in 2022.
As of March 2023, Theegala had amassed $6,568,166 in PGA Tour earnings.
During his rookie season, he led the PGA Tour in birdies made for the 2012-22 season with a total of 433.
