Wyndham Clark wrapped up his fourth victory on the PGA Tour in style at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson

The 2023 U.S. Open champion began the final round at TPC Craig Ranch trailing South Korea's Si Woo Kim by two strokes.

Clark, 32, mixed nine birdies and an eagle in an 11-under-par 60 to reach 30-under and win by three strokes over Kim.

It is the American's first victory since the weather-reduced 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where he also shot 60 in the final round to pip Ludvig Aberg to the title.

World number one Scottie Scheffler, who came close to becoming the first player since 1983 to complete a PGA Tour event without recording a five or worse, finished in solo third place.

Clark told Sky Sports he knew he couldn't shoot three or four-under par on Sunday and expect to win, adding: "I knew when I made the turn at four-under I gotta probably do the same amount on the back side to have a chance."

He added: "It's tough to make that many birdies and sometimes your mind wanders and gets ahead of itself or sometimes you have negative thoughts of like, 'Oh am I going to miss one now', and you have to bring yourself back to the present say no you know what to do [I just have to] stick to my process keep doing what I'm doing and and good things are going to continue to happen."

Clark began the day trailing Kim - who also shot 60 in the second round - by two shots.

He put circles on his card at the second, fourth, fifth and sixth to make the turn in 32.

Clark registered another birdie at the 11th before he drained a 15-foot eagle putt at the 12th.

He tapped in for birdie again from three feet at the 14th and walked off the 209-yard par-three 15th with another birdie after finding the cup from 44 feet.

Clark finished with two more birdies at the 17th and 18th.

Waiting to congratulate him on the green was his former caddie John Ellis and girlfriend Emily Tanner

Ellis sacked Clark earlier in the season amid the golfer's struggles to regain the form that saw him win the U.S. Open in 2023 and represent the United States Ryder Cup team.

Clark has also hit the headlines for entirely the wrong reasons.

His outburst of anger during the 2025 PGA Championship was criticised after he tossed his driver in anger and narrowly avoided hitting a volunteer.

Clark was also banned from Oakmont after causing damage to a century-old locker following a missed cut at the U.S. Open.

He has apologised for his actions and will be buoyed by his form ahead of the U.S. Open next month.

The third men's major of the year heads to Shinnecock Hills over 18-21 June.

Kim told reporters: "I played solid, and then I think it's best putting in my life in contention. So that's really positive.

"I think if I keep knocking on the door, something's coming. I can feel it. Yeah, we'll see. I played great.

"I think it's pretty much best play golf I've ever had. I'm a little frustrated, but nothing I can do. Wyndham played so good. Congrats to Wyndham."

Scheffler was on course to become the first player to play since 1983 to play a PGA Tour event without recording a five or worse.

But a par at the 12th dashed any hope Scheffler had of achieving the feat

"It was a good week," Scheffler said. "Like I said, it's always fun to play in my hometown. The crowd support was great this week. Like I said, it was a lot of fun.

"I wish I would have made a few more birdies, but overall it was a lot of fun."
