The PGA of America's 1st tee emcee Heather McMahan has stepped down from her duties at the 2025 Ryder Cup after leading a vile Rory McIlroy chant at Bethpage.

McMahan led an embarrassing 'f*** you Rory' chant on the 1st tee at Bethpage Black on Saturday.

As it turned out, McIlroy endured one of the worst atmospheres he has ever endured on a golf course.

American fans consistently hurled abuse at McIlroy throughout both of his foursomes and fourballs sessions on day two at the Ryder Cup.

McIlroy backed off one shot in the morning to tell a group of fans to 'shut the f*** up'.

His fourballs playing partner Shane Lowry then attempted to go after a fan who was abusing McIlroy while he was playing a shot.

Lowry was held back by his caddie Darren Reynolds in extremely distasteful scenes.

McIlroy held his nerve all day, however, to remain his unbeaten record at the 2025 Ryder Cup.

The Ulsterman has taken 3.5 points from the first four sessions to help Europe surge into a huge seven-point lead heading into Sunday.

At the end of McIlroy's match, a drink was thrown towards him and his wife Erica

But back to the top of the story and the Ryder Cup's 1st tee emcee McMahan has stepped down as a result of leading the horrible McIlroy chant.

McMahan has reportedly apologized to McIlroy, but she has now been relieved of her duties with the PGA.

And she will unlikely be coming back.

McIlroy clashes against Scottie Scheffler in the Sunday singles at the Ryder Cup.

Scheffler has become the first player since 1967 to go 0-4 at a Ryder Cup match.

Should McIlroy defeat Scheffler on Sunday then he will join late great Seve Ballesteros in a tie for sixth for all-time European points with 22.5.
