Ryder Cup 2025: Friday Foursomes, Tee Times and Betting Tips at Bethpage

Luke Donald and Keegan Bradley have now revealed their foursomes pairings for day one at the Ryder Cup - and we've got some mouthwatering matches in store for you at Bethpage. 

In this article, GolfMagic lists the opening foursomes matches taking place bright and early at Bethpage, New York, on Friday morning.

There are five sessions in total at the Ryder Cup - two foursomes (eight points), two fourballs (eight points) and one singles (12 points).

Foursomes and fourballs sessions take place on both Friday and Saturday, with the singles on Sunday. 

A total of 28 points is up for grabs - Europe need 14 in order to retain, while USA must get at least 14.5 to regain. 

USA are marginal 8/11 favourites to win the Ryder Cup this week, with Europe available at a more generous 6/4. 

The tie (14-14) is available at 12/1.

Prediction: 

What a cracking match to open the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage.

The pairing of DeChambeau and Thomas has taken many by surprise, but when you think about it some more it sort of makes sense as both players bring the fire at the Ryder Cup. 

But so too though do LIV Golf teammates Rahm and Hatton, so this has all the makings of a classic.

We can see this one going all the way to the 18th hole. 

DeChambeau and Thomas and marginal favourites to win the match, but we'll side with the European pair to get the job done, just as they did in Rome.

Scheffler / Henley vs Aberg / Fitzpatrick

Predicted winner:

USA - Scheffler / Henley

Scheffler and Henley for us here. 

The pairing of Aberg and Fitzpatrick is steady for sure, but we're not sure steady will get the job done in this match.

This is arguably America's strongest pairing, consisting of the World No.1 and World No.3. 

Henley and Scheffler will take a world of beating in this match and 8/11 looks value to be fair. 

Match 3: 

Morikawa / English vs McIlroy / Fleetwood

Predicted winner:

Europe - McIlroy / Fleetwood

Prediction: 

McIlroy and Fleetwood is arguably Europe's strongest pairing and we can see this one being comfortable for the visitors.

Morikawa has been badly out of form of late, and English will unlikely scare Europe's superstar names. 

We'll go for a snug 3&2 win here for McIlroy and Fleetwood. 

Match 4: 

Schauffele / Cantlay vs MacIntyre / Hovland

Predicted winner:

USA - Schauffele / Cantlay

We think the final match of the day one foursomes will be close.

But we can see best friends Schauffele and Cantlay just edging this one. 

Schauffele has been out of the game for a few weeks following the birth of his first child, but he gels well with Cantlay so you'd think he will be inspired to put on a show in front of his home fans.

Hovland has admitted his game feels better on the eve of the Ryder Cup, and you can be certain MacIntyre will be fired up to prove a point in his first away game. 

It will be a close match for sure this one, and could very well end in a tie, but we'll just side with the home team here.
