Team Europe chant "you're getting sacked in the morning" on Ryder Cup bus
Luke Donald's wife Diane shares hilarious video of Team Europe singing the famous "you're getting sacked in the morning" chant after defeating Keegan Bradley's Team USA.
Europe were heard signing the famous "you're getting sacked in the morning" football chant while on the bus back to their hotel following their monumental 15-13 triumph over the United States at the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black on Sunday.
Luke Donald's Europeans became the first away team to win the Ryder Cup since 2012.
It marked Europe's fifth overall away win in the biennial contest.
Keegan Bradley's Team USA mounted a final-day surge having started the day seven points behind, but it was too little too late for the hosts who were defeated 15-13.
Donald now becomes the first captain since his English compatriot Tony Jacklin in 1989 to win two Ryder Cup contests in a row.
Whether Donald, and his wife Diane, choose to remain on for another two years at Adare Manor in Ireland remains to be seen.
Here at GolfMagic, we think the lure of achieving an outright record threepeat as captain will be too great for Donald and his wife to turn down.
No captain in the history of the Ryder Cup dating all the way back to the very start in 1927 when it first contested between Great Britain and USA has won three consecutive cups.
The 2027 Ryder Cup will also mark the 100th anniversary of sport's famous clash just to further add to the spectacle in Ireland.
But back to the top of the story, and the Europeans were seen chanting "you're getting sacked in the morning" while on the team bus back to their New York hotel on Sunday night.
The song is a famous football chant that is sung when a manager of a team is on the verge of getting the sack.
The hilarious moment on the bus was captured by Donald's wife Diane, who posted a reel of her Sunday highlights on Instagram.
The PGA of America had an absolute shocker at the 2025 Ryder Cup, and it all stemmed from a total lack of planning in advance of golf's greatest showcase.

Whether the chant was solely aimed at Team USA captain Bradley is unknown, but there is a strong chance it was given European fans were singing that in the 18th grandstand during the victory celebrations.
Bradley is the narrow favourite to remain on in Ireland, but the pool of options for USA is deep to say the least, with the likes of Webb Simpson, Brandt Snedeker and even Tiger Woods all in the mix to take the reins.
Maybe the chant was a dig at PGA of America President Don Rea, especially after his controversial remarks in light of the verbal abuse and insults Rory McIlroy and his wife Erica received on Saturday at Bethpage.
One unruly American spectator even threw a drink at Erica's head.
Rea batted an eyelid to the insults and then had the cheek to liken the hostile crowd atmopshere to that of Marco Simone, something that offended Matt Fitzpatrick.
Jesus wept.

What chance do you have when this is how the people in charge respond?
Don Rea, the PGA of America president, resorting to ignorance and whataboutery in response to fans aiming homophobic slurs and worse at Rory McIlroy and his Ryder Cup teammates.
Is this how you… pic.twitter.com/wIW7Ps6UIQ
Rea has finally apologised to McIlroy, Erica and Team Europe though.
Then again, perhaps the chant was jokingly aimed at Donald himself, who could very well be stepping down now after two consecutive victories as captain in Rome and New York.
Or maybe McIlroy had just informed the bus that his beloved Manchester United had just lost to Brentford.
Who knows exactly, but you can check out the chant and some of the other inside the ropes highlights from Diane's camera reel below.
Interestingly Diane looked to have been saying "no more" with a wry smile when the chant "two more years" rung out from European players and fans as Donald gave his speech.
You can see that in the reel below too.
