Tyrrell Hatton drew giggles from his LIV Golf teammates Jon Rahm, Caleb Surratt and Kieran Vincent as he revealed his long-time caddie Mick Donaghy won't be on the bag for at least a month.

Hatton had another up-and-down week on the breakaway tour in Miami

The Englishman produced his best ever finish on the rival league by tying for fourth alongside the aforementioned Rahm.

He did so without Donaghy and Hatton told reporters the veteran caddie will be out of action for at least a month.

Crucially, Donaghy won't be on duty at Augusta National for this week's Masters

Not having the Glaswegian on the bag will be a huge blow for the 32-year-old, who has made no secret that the first major of the year has always presented him with difficulties.

He raised eyebrows after the 2022 Masters when he claimed the course was an 'unfair test at times'.

One of Hatton's pals will take over at Augusta this week, providing he can get a visa in time.

Hatton said: "My caddie fell over last night after dinner.

"Now, his reputation is an interesting one, so I don't know how the fall really occurred, but either way, he landed pretty heavy on his shoulder.

"He spent the afternoon in hospital. He's had an X-ray. He won't be caddying for the next month.

"As far as I'm aware he's got really bad bone bruising, so I think that's good that he's not broken anything, but I've got a friend on the bag.

"He's actually flying tomorrow now to Augusta, and he'll do Adelaide and Singapore if we can get a visa in time for him to do Australia."

bunkered have reported that Hatton's expected caddie will be Hugo Dobson.

Dobson is also a professional golfer and he caddied for Hatton at the 2019 Masters. The duo played junior golf together.

Rahm also had a different caddie in Miami.

The reigning Masters champion's regular looper, Adam Hayes, was ill.

But Rahm is expecting Hayes to be fine before teeing it up on Thursday.

"Hopefully he gets better soon, which he will," Rahm said. "It takes a lot for him not to caddie. Let's just say that."
