The 2023 U.S. Open is over but there are still storylines developing from the major: Rory McIlroy's drop in the final round was apparently incorrect and this clip of Jon Rahm has surfaced.

As is standard at a U.S. Open, the rough is thick and juicy. The clip shows Rahm marching towards the first cut appearing absolutely determined to find his Callaway Chrome Soft X.

The spectator filming was already convinced Rahm's ball was buried. "I think this is Rahmbo," the fan narrated as he zoomed in, unsure if the golf ball belonged to his playing partner Viktor Hovland

As Rahm is assessing the ground, the fan once again mutters: "The ball is buried."

And it's fair to say the comment elicited a strong response from the Spanish World No. 2.

Rahm turned around, looked the spectator in the eye and blasted: "Shut up! Jesus Christ!"

The two-time major champion eventually hacked his ball out from 125 yards and proceeded to march off down the fairway, probably thinking of a few more expletives in his mind.

Watch the clip here:

Rahm struggled somewhat over the first three days at the major (compared to his lofty standards) and eventually posted a T-10 finish thanks to a final round of 65.

The 28-year-old is never shy of voicing his content on the golf course. During the very same US Open the hot mics picked up one of his funniest F-bombs ever.

Rahm was also filmed berating a cameraman at the PGA Championship in May.

"Stop aiming at my face when I'm mad," Rahm bellowed. "It's all you guys do!"

That's not to say, though, that Rahm isn't always involved in tense exchanges. In January, he signed one of the strangest items ever for a supporter during The American Express on the PGA Tour.
