More TaylorMade club owners and community members are eligible to receive free Arccos smart sensors and a membership trial, it was announced Thursday.

Pioneer company of big data and artificial intelligence in golf, Arccos, has extended its partnership with TaylorMade Golf, the company announced in a press release Thursday. 

This extension means UK-based players can access Arccos’ ‘Track Better. Play Better.’ program by registering to receive free Arccos smart sensors and a free trial membership, per the release. 

The free trial runs 45 days and can be accessed at taylormade.arccosgolf.com.

The special offer also includes an option to bundle the Arccos Link wearable for a limited-time at a 50% discount.

This allows TaylorMade customers to utilize their on-course data to play smarter and shoot lower, according to the release. It's also noted that nominal shipping and handling fees may apply. 

Tom Williams, Arccos executive vice president, said:

“This special collaboration with TaylorMade has really resonated with golfers since we launched it in North America last year.”

He added:

“On top of all the sign- ups, positive press and golfer feedback we’ve received, there’s been this consistent demand from golfers in the UK seeking to access the same offer. Now, in partnership with both the amazing US and UK teams at TaylorMade, we're proud to make that happen.” 

Arccos is golf’s first artificial intelligence platform, per the release. It automatically tracks shots while also providing in-round insights and individual strokes gained analytics for each club and all facets of the game. 

The system has an A.I.-powered rangefinder, smart club distances, and caddie advice for every golf hole on the globe.

Arccos claims that new members who played at least 10 rounds lowered their handicap by a 5.71-stroke average in their first year of having the membership. 

Ben Brooks, TaylorMade’s senior manager of global commercial innovation, added:

“Whether it’s our 60x Carbon Twist Face, MyTaylorMade+ or the unique ways we are using Arccos data to fuel R&D and other initiatives, leading the innovation curve is fundamental to everything we do at TaylorMade.”  

He added:

“Now, with the expansion of this strategic partnership, TaylorMade players in the UK can benefit from the same ‘Track Better. Play Better.’ program that was so successfully pioneered in North America.” 

Arccos says it leverages the largest on-course dataset in golf, per the release, for its newest innovations include re-engineering the automatic shot tracking via Apple Watches and premier hot-spot editing to improve in-play experiences. 

Arccos' says its dataset features over 700 billion data points, which includes more than 675 million shots across 14 million rounds played by its members.
