Cobra unveils King Oversized hybrid

Cobra has unveiled its super game improvement KING Oversized hybrid.

Designed to be played in conjunction with the King Oversized irons, the new hybrid offers maximum forgiveness.

A wider, oversized clubhead offers a high launch and maximum MOI. It has a large sweetspot thanks to a PWRShell face which increases the sweet spot.

“Last fall we introduced our popular KING Oversized irons and now we have a super game improvement hybrid to perfectly complement that set,” said Tom Olsavsky, VP of R&D for Cobra Golf.

“The oversized head will provide golfers with even more speed and distance on off-center contact without sacrificing forgiveness or control.”

An internal tungsten weighting system keeps CG low and deep, while a TeXtreme Carbon Fiber Cron saves eight grams of weight compared to steel hybrid crowns.

“As is the case in our award-winning King OS irons, the key to distance is lower CG and less spin, which is a big challenge when you create a larger clubhead,” said Olsavsky.

“Our multi-material head construction and strategically-engineered tungsten weighting in our King OS Hybrids allow us to achieve the lower CG while still providing a head profile that inspires confidence at address.”

Cobra’s MyFly8 with Smart Pad adjustable system is employed allowing golfers to fine tune the club to their game.

Options: 3-4H, 4-5H and 5-6H models providing loft options ranging from 19-degrees to 28-degrees.
