While golfers of all levels will argue endlessly about the virtues and downsides of each club manufacturer, there's one thing they can generally agree on: fitting any of the best drivers around with a Fujikura shaft is a pretty safe bet.

Founded in Japan but operated primarily out of Carlsbad, California, Fujikura has in recent years become synonymous with major championship success and equally beloved by amateurs of all levels. Its flagship wood shaft, the Ventus, is by some stretch the most successful on tour, with the winners of all four majors this year having had it installed on their driver.

A good chunk of the world's top 10 players, including both Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler, game Fujikura Ventus shafts despite not being official endorsees of the brand, while according to PGA Club Tracker, 76 PGA Tour golfers currently play some form of Fujikura shaft: the most of any wood-specific brand aside from Mitsubishi.

Suffice it to say, then, that if it's good enough for them, a Fujikura shaft is probably good enough for you. But getting the best shaft for your game is far from as simple as simply forking out for a Ventus Black and calling it a day. As such, we thought we'd put together a handy guide to every one of Fujikura's 2025 shaft models available right now, along with who they're made for and how they might benefit your game.

Fujikura Ventus VeloCore+

RRP: £299.99

Colour options: Black, blue, red and white

Who they're made for: Better golfers wanting the ultimate in speed, dispersion and stability

The grand-daddy of driver shafts on tour and perhaps one of the most desirable in the market, Fujikura's Ventus line the company's flagship shaft – home to its latest and greatest tech and optimised to provide a wide range of better swingers stability in a range of launch and spin profiles. The most famous Ventus of all, the Ventus Black, is famously the driver shaft of choice for dozens of tour pros, but plenty of professional players game the higher-spinning, higher launching red and blue variants as well.

The philosophy and features engineered into the Ventus range remain consistent regardless of colour. Each is equipped with the signature VeloCore+ multi-material core construction for a more consistent feel and performance, with the maximum allowable carbon fibre content to enhance loading and optimise club head and ball speeds.

Brand new for the 2025 season is the Ventus White: an option that has a stiffer overall profile and offers even more launch and spin without sacrificing the stability the Ventus line is known for.

Fujikura Ventus TR

RRP: £299.99

Colour options: Black, blue and red

Who they're made for: Faster swingers wanting extra stability and a firmer feel

While the Ventus line is engineered to meet the standards of even the fastest swingers on tour, some players with particularly fast swings or trouble overloading their shaft require a little more reinforcement. This is where the Ventus TR comes in.

Powered by the same Velocore tech as the standard Ventus, the Ventus TR has a generally stiffer profile than the standard Ventus from tip to butt, and is reinforced with an extra layer of ultra high modular carbon fibre at different sections of the shaft according to colour, giving different types of swingers further stability and more consistent contact.

Fujikura PRO

RRP: £199.95

Colour options: Black and blue

Who they're made for: Low/mid spin and launch golfers looking for less stiffness

Revised from top to bottom for the 2024 season, Fujikura's PRO line is designed to be a bit of an all-rounder for the brand, comprised of two easy-to-fit colour models designed to cater to a wider range of golfers. Designed for golfers who play better with a slightly more active shaft, they play less stiff overall than their counterparts in the Ventus range, particularly in the tip and mid-section, helping more players load the club easier without sending launch and spin out of control.

The PRO Blue is a mid launch, low-spin option for smoother swingers wanting to generate extra speed, while the Black aids faster swingers who want a lower spin profile without transitioning into a super-stiff shaft.

Fujikura Speeder NX

Fujikura Speeder NX

RRP: £299

Colour options: Violet and Green

Who they're made for: More controlled swingers looking for easy speed

If you're a player who swings smoothly and sticks to the old adage of letting the club do the work for you, the Fujikura Speeder NX will be right up your alley. The brand's softest, most active shaft, it's designed to help slower swingers and less mobile players generate effortless speed, with a Variable Torque core helping keep things controlled.

Both the Speeder NX Violet and Green options have fairly similar stiffness profiles, with the former ever-so-slightly tightened in the butt and the tip to better make use of the larger, high MOI heads becoming increasingly popular with slower swingers. The green, meanwhile, has a slightly lower spin and launch profile if you prefer to keep your drives closer to the deck.
