Callaway's Apex MB Raw irons make a case as the most beautiful irons of 2026

Callaway isn't typically a brand we associate with minimalism, but when they lean in that direction, the results are often stunning.

Such is the case with the brand's new set of limited-edition blades, which dropped earlier this week to much frothing at the mouth from the equipment commentariat. 

Named the Apex MB Raw, they're the cleanest, purest blades Callaway have made in a long time, departing radically from the tech-forward look of the normal Apex range. These are all about simple beauty, and incidentally, you'll need to have a swing to match in order to play these well.

Aimed very much at the low-handicap, elite ball striker. They're built on the successful platform of the previous Apex MB and the X Forged irons that still have legions of fans on tour, and still have the same forged 1020 Stainless Steel construction for buttery soft feel and feedback. 

Callaway have, however, adopted a far more minimal aesthetic, along with a raw finish, subtly reworked the geometry on the Tri-sole design to aid turf interaction and promote more consistent contact. It has a slightly wider sole than before, while playing and feeling like a narrower sole club.

Hype around these irons has been pretty enormous, with brand ambassadors Min Woo Lee and Sam Burns both sticking a version of the model in the bag in 2025. Adam Scott and Jason Day have now switched into the irons as well.

Naturally, these won't come cheap, priced at $1699.99 for a seven-club set. They're also releasing exclusively through Callaway in limited batches, so you'll have to keep an eye on Callaway's website for info on future drops.
