Wyndham Clark WITB: Everything in the bag of the 2026 U.S. Open winner
Take a look into the set-up that carried the American to glory at Shinnecock Hills.

Whether you have no time for him or see his 2026 U.S. Open victory as the latest chapter in a new redemption story, Wyndham Clark is the golfer everyone's talking about right now.
A few years ago, it that Wyndham Clark had the entire golfing world at his feet. After a fraught first few years struggling to maintain his Tour status, he achieved a breakthrough in 2023, winning the Wells Fargo Championship, then captured his maiden major title with a one-stroke victory over Rory McIlroy at the U.S. Open a month later.
The years since, however, have not been particularly kind to the young American, who experienced a worrying downturn in form culminating in some unsavoury moments throughout the 2025 season. He came under fire after launching his driver at a sponsor's board, nearly wiping out a marshal at the US PGA, and famously smashed up the locker room at Oakmont after missing the cut at the 2025 US Open.
Now, a year on, Clark is back among the major-winning crowd yet again, and while many still feel Clark has a long way to go to redeeming himself fully, there's no doubt he's re-emerged as one of the most powerful forces on tour as a result.
One of the PGA Tour's most prolific equipment free agents, Clark can add his name to a growing list of players who have attained major glory without the full-time backing of a big equipment sponsor. Formerly a Titleist ambassador, the American became a free agent officially at the start of 2026.
Clark made a number of major equipment changes throughout the latter end of the season in an attempt to reclaim some form, introducing a host of new brands and models into his setup for the coming season.
Shortly after, an insider source confirmed to GolfMagic that Clark was no longer under a full-bag contract with Titleist, instead reverting to a standard ball and glove deal.
Here, then, is everything he had in the bag for his famous win at Shinnecock Hills.

Driver: TaylorMade Qi4D
TaylorMade's Qi4D driver has proven popular with both the brand's tour players and free agents alike, with Bryson DeChambeau the latest big name to switch into the model on the eve of the U.S. Open.
Clark also moved into a TaylorMade driver for the first time this year, working with the brand to find a build of the core Qi4D model that worked for him. His is fitted with a low launch, low spin shaft from Project X's new Titan range – a model also used by DeChambeau on his new driver.
“It’s actually a high loft 9° head and we were just looking to get his spin rates down to like 2500-2400,” TaylorMade Tour rep Adrian Rietveld told Golf.com. “So we handpicked the 9° head because we couldn’t do it with the 10.5˚.
“Same settings, same weight setup and everything, we just needed to find a loft setup. We had a fraction less loft.”
Clark finished 14th for the week at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in SG: Off-the-Tee.
Fairway wood: PING G440 Max
Opting for a traditional 3-wood, Clark uses one of the most forgiving fairway woods on the market in the form of PING's G440 Max model. The PING is also fitted with a Project X Titan shaft, this time a Black model rather than the Yellow in his driver.
Irons: Titleist T-Series
In the first of a few throwbacks from his time as a Titleist staff player, Clark still uses the same Titleist irons he used in his time contracted with the brand. His set is a combination set made up of long irons from the prior T200 player's distance model, with players irons from the old T100 model making up the shorter end of his iron set.
Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM11
Like many Tour players, Clark also relies on the consistency and quality of Titleist's renowned Vokey wedges, having switched into the new SM11 model for the 2026 season.
Clark plays a suite of 4 Vokey wedges, switching out his pitching wedge for a 44-degree wedge from the range, and also has a 60-degree lob wedge from the brand's custom Wedgeworks workshop.

Putter: Ping Scottsdale Tec Ally Blue Onset
On the eve of the U.S. Open Clark would go on to win, PING announced that the American had signed a deal to use one of the brand's putters permanently moving forward.
Clark switched into the U.S. brand's Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset putter at this year's Houston Open, and his form on the greens has been a key part in pushing him back into the top 20 of the FedEx cup rankings through this season.
Clark's Scottsdale putter comes in a custom finish, with PING's distinctive black-on-white colour scheme, a 17" Superstroke Zenergy 3.0 grip and a 38 inch shaft.
