Wyndham Clark confirms new equipment deal on eve of U.S. Open
The 2023 champion has inked a new putter deal as part of his bid to reclaim his major-winning form.

Wyndham Clark has long been known as one of golf's most prolific equipment free agents, but as of now one particular club in his bag is officially accounted for.
On the eve of a U.S. Open in which the former champion is seeking to make amends for last year's infamous post-tournament outburst, PING has announced that the American has signed a deal to use one of the brand's putters permanently moving forward.
Clark switched into the U.S. brand's Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset putter at this year's Houston Open, and his form on the greens has been a key part in pushing him back into the top 20 of the FedEx cup rankings through this season.
Clark's high point for the year came in his victory at last month's CJ Cup Byron Nelson, in which he had one of the best putting weekends in the history of the PGA Tour.
In fact he set the total strokes gained: putting record for a PGA Tour event, holing 158 feet of putts en route to the win.
Now, the two have made their partnership official.
"Wyndham comes into the U.S. Open this week as one of the hottest players in the world," said PING CEO and president John K. Solheim.
"He's been using the Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset model since the Houston Open and has steadily climbed in the world rankings since then on the strength of a win and third-place finish in his last three tournaments.
"We're excited he’s having such tremendous success with the new model and benefiting from the Eye Q alignment technology and the onset design.
"His choice to use the new putter further validates the performance golfers can expect when adding a Scottsdale TEC putter to their bag."
Clark's Scottsdale putter comes in a custom finish, with PING's distinctive black-on-white colour scheme, a 17" Superstroke Zenergy 3.0 grip and a 38 inch shaft.
"Since switching to the PING Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset putter in April, I’ve seen significant improvement in my putting and I credit the new putter for helping me get back in the winner’s circle," Clark said.

"The white finish first got my attention and when I started rolling putts with it, it set up easily, and gave me immediate confidence.
"I'd never used a putter with onset before, so it was a new look for me that really matches my eye.
"The onset combined with the top-rail dot simplifies alignment and my consistency has improved. I’m sinking more long putts than ever."
You can see Clark put the new putter into action when he tees off at 18:36 BST/13:36 ET.
