EPIC FAIL! Man attempts Tiger Woods 'on his knees' Open bunker shot...
Remember when Tiger Woods played a similar shot at the 2012 Open? This guy tried, and failed badly!
Tiger Woods has played many miraculous shots in his life, and while this one from sand at the 2012 Open Championship will unlikely ever make his Top 10 highlights reel, he did manage to escape and get his ball on the front edge of the green.
With his ball finding the back left of one of the greenside pot bunkers at Royal Lytham & St Annes, Woods was faced with the precarious situation of playing the shot off his knees. In fact, he was pretty much sitting down.
While his ball hit the top of the wall on the way out, it did manage to get up over the sand and onto the front of the green...
Six years later, step forward an amateur golf hack, who tried to emulate the exact same shot - only with very different results...
The setup all looked fantastic on first look, but then he got in there and whiffed his first attempt. Bad times indeed.
Then without any hesitation whatsoever, he went straight in for his second attempt and made contact with the ball. While we can't see where it finished up (likely over the back given the sound of contact), we quite frankly don't care because this guy was going head first into the sand, and it's hilarious!
