Collin Morikawa claimed his second PGA Tour title on Sunday, winning the Workday Charity Open at Muirfield Village.

The event was the first of back-to-back tournaments at Muirfield, with the players returning this week for the Memorial Tournament, where Tiger Woods will be playing for the first time since the Genesis Open in February.

Morikawa capitalised on Justin Thomas throwing away the lead, making two bogeys in his last three holes, whilst Morikawa made a birdie at the 17th to pile on the pressure.

With Thomas dropping another shot at the last, both players finished the tournament 19-under par to take it to a play-off in what ended up being the best finish to a PGA Tour event since the restart.

Thomas drained a monster 50-foot putt for birdie at the first extra hole but Morikawa answered back with an incredible birdie putt of his own.

Both players would par the second play-off hole and at the third extra hole, Thomas made a mistake off the tee which resulted in a bogey 5, allowing Morikawa two putts for the win.

The 23-year-old took home the winner's share of $1,116,000 whilst Thomas, who was searching for his 13th PGA Tour win, took home $675,800 for second place.
