iGolf: The service that provides non-club members with WHSHandicap Index

For the first time ever, England Golf have made it possible for golfers to obtain a handicap without being a member of a golf club.

But in order to get your new World Handicap System Handicap Index, you just need to follow some simple steps online before you get started.

You need to visit englandigolf.co.uk and when the page has loaded, you should click 'Join Now' and then you will be asked to fill in your details.

Once you have confirmed your details, you will receive a welcome email from iGolf. You need to then download the My England Golf App (My EG).

As you have subscribed to iGolf, the app will automatically recognise you as a subscriber. Now, you can use the My EG App to get started on your new Handicap Index.

You can input scores, track the progress in each and every one of your performances and calculate your course handicap for whichever club you go to.

You can also follow your friends' scores as well and you will receive updates and notifications on your handicap, your friends' activity and general updates from England Golf.

Once you have signed in, you can edit your profile in any way you see fit and you can upload a profile picture if you wish to do so.

By allowing golfers to obtain a Handicap Index, this opens up the sport to those who perhaps are on a budget and cannot afford to pay golf club membership fees.

It is another scheme from England Golf to capitalise on the sport's boom and increase participation.
