HUNTER MAHAN

Hunter Mahan once became the highest-ranked American in the world when winning the 2012 Houston Open. But really since then, he has had a problem.

Mahan, now 34, may have gone on to win six PGA Tour titles, but as things currently stand, he finds himself in the lowly position of world number 541.

Acting as one of the four members in the Golf Boys band alongside Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson and Ben Crane, there has been very little for Mahan to sing and dance about of late with just one top-25 finish since the start of the 2016 PGA Tour season.

Mahan has made his money, $29 million of it on Tour to be precise. But much more has been expected for a man with two WGC titles and a FedEx Cup Playoff win to his name. A man who was tipped to become America's next big thing.

And let's not forget his costly duffed chip at Celtic Manor, all-but handing the Ryder Cup to Europe in 2010.

We would love to see Mahan get back in the mix, but we feel we have probably seen him at his best now.
