Callaway snaps up one of golf’s most exciting young stars

Callaway have moved quickly to secure one of the most promising young players in professional golf, signing 18-year-old Yanhan Zhou to a multi-year endorsement agreement.

The Chinese star will now play a full Callaway setup, including the company's driver, woods, irons and wedges, alongside an Odyssey putter and Callaway golf ball. He will also carry the brand's bag and accessories during competition.

It represents another significant step in the rapid rise of a player who has already enjoyed remarkable success despite his age.

Zhou earned his DP World Tour membership after winning the 2025 China Tour Order of Merit, a campaign in which he claimed seven victories, and he is currently the youngest member of the former European Tour. 

While he has yet to register a first win on the DP World Tour, he has already come close, most recently with a tie for second at the Danish Golf Championship last month. 

Zhou has continued to make an impression against stronger international competition and has amassed 11 professional wins since turning professional.

That record has inevitably attracted attention from equipment manufacturers, with Callaway ultimately securing the teenager as part of its global professional roster.

The agreement will see Zhou represent Callaway both on the course and away from competition, with the partnership also including marketing and social media activity.

For Zhou, the deal marks another milestone in a career which began unusually early. 

He was introduced to golf by his father at the age of three and went on to establish himself as one of China's leading junior and amateur players before making the move into the professional game.

"Joining Callaway Golf is an incredible milestone in my career," Zhou said.

"Callaway has set the standard for innovation and performance in the game, and I am excited to compete with equipment trusted by some of the world's best players and numerous major champions."

Callaway's Senior Vice President of Global Sports Marketing, Eddie Erkmanis, said the company had been impressed by Zhou's performances and believed he had the potential to develop into a major player on the global stage.

"Yanhan is already a proven winner, with a level of poise well beyond his years and the talent and dedication to take his game to even greater heights," Erkmanis said.

The move also gives Callaway another young player to develop as part of its professional stable, while Zhou will have the backing of a major equipment manufacturer as he continues to establish himself on the DP World Tour.

His ambitions extend considerably further, too. Zhou has previously spoken of his desire to become World No.1. 

The next stage of his career will now begin with a new set of equipment in the bag – and Callaway will be hoping their latest signing can develop into one of the biggest names in the game.
