Innovative Hot 1 technology heats up clubface for ultimate distance

Lynx Golf launches red hot Boom Boom 2

Boom Boom 2 driver

Lynx Golf may have been in the wilderness for more than a decade but it’s back. And not just with a bang, but with a Boom Boom 2...

Synonymous with innovation ever since making its mark in 1978 and helping guide Fred Couples and Ernie Els to major glory in the Nineties, Lynx Golf is launching, quite literally, the hottest new club in golf.

The 460cc Boom Boom 2 driver utilises a lithium battery in the headcover to heat up the clubface between drives, and Lynx says it is the result of years of research, development and testing.

Conforming to R&A regulations, the brand claims its new driver represents the most technologically-advanced club on the market since it’s been engineered in a different way to achieve unprecedented distance and performance.

In a restless pursuit of the next best innovation, Lynx has harnessed a radical amalgam of materials into the Bi-Titanium head construction with innovative Hot 1 Technology, embracing a bespoke headcover that heats the clubhead to optimal temperature, enhancing performance from the materials that have been engineered into it.

“Lynx has a reputation for passionately pursuing advanced innovative technologies that help golfers of all abilities optimise their skills and enjoyment of the game,” says Lynx Golf’s MD Steve Elford.

“The Boom Boom 2’s unique build characteristics will help all golfers achieve distance that they never dreamed possible.”

The Boom Boom 2 is available for £349.99 in 9-, 10.5- and 12.5-degree. It comes with an Aldila RIP’dNV shaft in regular, stiff and extra stiff flex, as well as the all-important lithium battery rechargeable heated headcover.
