O'Hern takes lead in Oz
Nick O'Hern is two shots clear at the Henieken Classic in Perth
Nick O’Hern takes a two stroke lead over defending champion Michael Campbell into the final round of the Heineken Classic.
The Australian left hander O’Hern who fired a third round 69, turned a four shot deficit into a three stroke lead over his playing partner Steen Tinning, who was suffering from a bad headache as the two exponents of the long handled putters battled it out at The Vines course in Perth.
Campbell, who won last year by a streak is sitting on his shoulder at 10-under par with Tinning one shot further back alongside Dean Robertson and Peter Lonard.
“The way I played today was great, I hit the ball great from tee to green,” Campbell said. “My putting was horrendous once again, the last three days it’s been terrible, the only way I’ve made birdies is two-putts on par fives and tap ins.”
