A young girl was given a moment that she will never forget when she had her picture taken alongside golf legend Tiger Woods.

Luna Perrone, who has been diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma which is a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer, saw Woods at the soccer fields where she plays football.

Luna has always been a lover of football and softball and all four of the Perrone children play as part of the PGBYAA Palm Beach Gardens Predators Soccer program.

Luna is a member of the under 11's Girls Elite travel team, while also she and her sisters play in a recreation softball program and her brother plays in a baseball program.

It is great to see that Woods was able to take a picture with Luna, who posted it to her Instagram page and said that Woods told her to "stay strong."

Many fans on social media sent their love and support to Luna:

"Tiger is so lucky he got to meet you!!" one fan said.

"So awesome!! Good for you Luna," one fan commented.

"Stay strong and get well soon!!!" another fan said.

"Look at those big smiles!" another fan commented.

"Oh I love this. Stay strong sweet girl," one fan said.

Ewing's Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer and unfortunately, treatment for it is very expensive. Luna will need months of in-hospital and outpatient chemotherapy in addition to the blood and immune-boosting shots.

As you can see by her posts on social media, Luna is an incredibly active and inspiring young girl and she is passionate about sport.
