"Give the people what they want" PGA Tour pro wants PIF Cup match vs LIV…

PGA Tour pro James Hahn believes the time has come for a LIV Golf vs PGA Tour 'PIF Cup' match following all the "politics" that is surrounding the 2023 Ryder Cup between Europe and United States at Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome.

Two-time PGA Tour winner Hahn, 41, took to Twitter to reveal he wants a PIF Cup match following the recent shock merger between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf's bankrollers, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Should it come to light, it would see the likes of Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler of the PGA Tour taking on Cameron Smith and Brooks Koepka of LIV Golf.

GolfMagic recently put two PGA Tour and LIV Golf teams together to see who would come out on top, and the results were interesting!

Hahn made his views just 24 hours after LIV Golf's Bryson DeChambeau confirmed he has received "zero communication" from US Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson, despite him shooting a final-round 58 to win his first LIV title at Greenbrier earlier this month.

The American thinks "politics" has got in the way of the Ryder Cup, particularly after Johnson confirmed all six of his captain's picks will "probably be PGA Tour players".

Hahn tweeted:

"So much politics regarding the Ryder Cup and captain's picks. More reason to have PGA Tour vs LIV matches in the PIF Cup. Give the people what they want."

Golf social media sensation Paige Spiranac recently called for a PGA Tour vs LIV Golf match, too.

Spiranac wants to see that replace the Presidents Cup instead.

Johnson will make his six captain's picks following the conclusion of the Tour Championship next weekend.

Hahn believes Lucas Glover deserves to be picked after winning back-to-back events on the PGA Tour.
