Tommy Fleetwood gave a young boy a moment to remember at the Wells Fargo Championship when the Englishman gave him a signed putter headcover.

The young fan, who was called Michael, was sat watching Fleetwood speaking to Chris Trott and Trott suggested that Fleetwood could give away his headcover to a lucky spectator.

Once someone told Fleetwood that it was Michael's ninth birthday, he wasted no time in giving the item to the delighted fan and he then signed it for him as well.

The World No. 27 explained that the headcover was a magnetic one and not velcro, which in his opinion is far better, so Michael was treated to a high-quality item for his own golf bag.

Golf fans often enjoy moments like this and they made their feelings known in the comments.

"This guy is a class act," one fan said.

"Tommy lad is such a legend," one fan commented.

"This makes me happy seeing this kind of stuff!!!" another fan said.

"Literally one of the sweetest on tour love Tommy," another fan commented.

"This is why everyone loves Tommy," one fan said.

It is always great to see golfers on the PGA Tour engaging with the fans, and it is even more special when they can create a memorable moment for a young fan who happened to be celebrating his ninth birthday.

Fleetwood will tee it up at the Wells Fargo Championship this week, as he still seeks his first win on the PGA Tour.

The 5-time European Tour winner has had a solid season in 2021, managing two top 10 finishes and making eight cuts out of the 11 events he has played in.
